To help students of West Bengal realize their higher education dreams, the West Bengal Student Credit Card (WBSCC) scheme was launched at the initiative of the Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. So that financial hardship never becomes a barrier to education, the state government is guaranteeing low-interest loans of up to ₹10 lakh.

🪜 Step-by-step guide
- Student Registration
Go to the wbscc.wb.gov.in portal, click the Student Registration option and provide basic personal and academic details.
- Generate Application ID and Password
After registration, a Student ID will be sent to your mobile number, and you will log in with a password of your own choosing.
- Upload Documents
Upload the student's and co-applicant's (guardian's) photo, signature, Aadhaar card, the guardian's income certificate and the course's admission receipt.
- Fill in Loan Details and Submit
Mention the required course fees, hostel charges and other academic expenses, and submit the application.
