What to do when your Lakshmir Bhandar money stops or is delayed — check your status on socialregistry.wb.gov.in and fix Aadhaar-bank seeding, KYC, inactive account and other issues step by step.
Lakshmir Bhandar money not arriving every month on schedule — suddenly stopping, getting delayed, or months passing after the application without any payment — is the most common complaint of all. The good news: about 90% of these problems stem from five familiar causes, and nearly all of them can be fixed free of cost from home or at the block office.
Start with facts, not guesses:
From here you can tell which category the problem falls into.
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| 1. Bank account inactive | Go to the bank, reactivate the account and make a transaction |
| 2. No Aadhaar-bank seeding | Submit the Aadhaar seeding form at the bank (free of cost) |
| 3. Name spelling mismatch | Keep the same spelling in Aadhaar, bank and portal |
| 4. KYC pending | Complete video-KYC or branch KYC at the bank |
| 5. Application Pending | Enquire at the block/municipal office with the application number |
| 6. Status Rejected | Read the reason, correct the documents and apply afresh |
| 7. Account changed | Update the new account details on the portal/BSK |
| 8. Age/eligibility mismatch | Submit a birth certificate or school document with a correction application |
Look at your bank account passbook or your UPI app’s statement for a DBT credit reading “WB GOV / LAKSHMIR BHANDAR” or the department’s name — sometimes the money arrives but another family member has already withdrawn it! Keep the account under your own control and never share your PIN or OTP with anyone.
There is no fixed date — the government sends the money in batches once a month or once every few months. Sometimes two-three months arrive together with a lag; only if it doesn't arrive for a longer period (over 3 months) should you treat it as a problem and investigate.
The money goes to whichever account is recorded last on the portal. If you have changed accounts, get the new bank account details updated on the portal or at a Bangla Sahayata Kendra — otherwise the money gets stuck in the closed old account.
Under Lakshmir Bhandar the money goes to the **woman head of the family's** own bank account. Whatever name-account appears in the beneficiary details on the portal is final — if it is wrong, get it corrected.
