Selecting your district, block, or municipality shows the list of nearby centres — every panchayat and municipality area has at least one centre.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How much does it cost to get a service at a BSK?
Each service has a government-prescribed nominal fee (varying by service) — the list is displayed on the centre's board. No 'charges' beyond the prescribed fee need to be paid.
Are BSK and Duare Sarkar the same thing?
No. Duare Sarkar is a camp held at fixed times, while a Bangla Sahayata Kendra is a permanent centre open all year — for urgent work, the BSK is the most reliable address.
Can mutual fund or banking work also be done at a BSK?
Some bank-related work (such as pension forms and certificates) can be done, but investments or opening bank accounts are not BSK's job — go to a bank for those. BSK primarily provides services on government portals.
In detail
Introduction
The Bangla Sahayata Kendra (BSK) is the West Bengal government’s year-round digital service centre — at least one in every panchayat and municipality. For those who cannot do government work online themselves, the centre’s operator fills in applications on government portals on their behalf — for the prescribed nominal fee.
How to Find a Centre Near You
On the official portal bsk.wb.gov.in, selecting your district and block/municipality gives you the list of nearby centres, addresses, and schedules. Do not use any third-party “BSK finder” app or site — the information may be outdated.
What Work Can Be Done at a BSK
- Certificates: birth-death record corrections, income certificate, residence certificate, caste certificate applications
- Ration card: new applications, corrections, digital ration card download
- Swasthya Sathi and social security: Swasthya Sathi status, Lakshmir Bhandar corrections, pension applications
- Land and revenue: Banglarbhumi work, khajana (land tax) payment assistance
- Voter services: forms for adding and correcting names on voter rolls
- Administrative assistance: login problems, form errors, and similar issues on any state portal
Before going to a centre, check our e-District guide and ration card guide for what you can do online yourself — if the task is simple, do it from home.
Checklist Before Visiting a Centre
- Aadhaar card (original copy) — the primary basis for almost every service
- Other certificates as per the service (address proof, birth record, etc.)
- Mobile number — OTP will be needed, so take an active number
- After the work is done, be sure to take the receipt with the application number — this is what you need later for status checks and escalation
