Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I download the digital e-EPIC voter card?
Log in at voters.eci.gov.in and go to the 'E-EPIC Download' menu. Enter your EPIC number or Reference ID — an OTP will arrive on your registered mobile. Once the OTP is verified, the high-resolution watermarked voter card PDF downloads.
After applying online for a voter card, what process follows?
After submission, the local Booth Level Officer (BLO) visits your home for field verification or verifies the details by phone. Once approved by the ERO, the free plastic voter card arrives by speed post.
How do I change my Assembly Constituency on the voter card after marriage or moving house?
Fill Form 8 on voters.eci.gov.in, choose the 'Shifting of Residence' option and upload proof of the new address — your name is automatically transferred from the previous area to the new Assembly Constituency.
How do I check whether my name is on the electoral roll?
Go to 'Search in Electoral Roll' and enter your EPIC number, or your name, guardian's name, district and Assembly Constituency — in one click you get your booth number, serial number and polling station name.
